What we do

Heemer Crafted designs and builds custom-made interactive attractions that reach a global market. We focus on creating attractions that are fun and engaging for families, while remaining practical for operators to run, maintain, and support over time. 

Ideal for agritourism farms, museums and theme parks, where products are expected to operate daily and withstand heavy guest interaction.

Built on Industrial Automation Experience

Justin Hiemstra grew up on an agritourism farm in Aylmer, Ontario and had the unique opportunity to see first-hand the value and charm interactive attractions bring to the agritourism sector. His background in mechanical engineering technology and industrial automation, (with experience designing and commissioning control systems across industries such as mining, food and beverage, and batch processing), further shaped his ability and passion for designing and building interactive attractions.

Heemer Crafted prioritizes proven components, clear system logic, clean integration, and designs that can be supported long after installation.

Real World Testing

We test our designs and builds at our partner site, Clovermead Adventure Farm. This allows us to validate our products under real conditions before they reach a client site. Our builds experience guests of all ages, changing weather conditions, seasonal operation, and high usage. 

We also test out our attractions with Justin’s two bright and playful daughters, who provide direct and honest feedback. If something is confusing or does not hold up, we quickly find out and work tirelessly to improve it!
